FLOWER FEAST
Multisensory Journey with Culinary Installation Artist
Rediscovering Sanyu’s Masterpieces:
A Timeless Journey Through Edible Art
Dates: December 14 & 15, 2024
Sanyu, a pioneer of modern Chinese art, was described by Wu Guanzhong as "a Chinese bonsai planted in Paris," a tribute to his artistic legacy in bridging the traditional and the modern, reinterpreting classical Chinese painting aesthetics through the lens of Western modernism movements. To honor his transcendent body of work centered around floral motifs, we are honored to welcome Gao Panpan, a visionary Bay Area edible installation artist, to guide us on a journey of sensory discovery.
Her enchanting installation event, Flower Feast, reimagines Sanyu’s masterpieces in a groundbreaking fusion of visual and culinary art. Each dish draws inspiration from the themes and vibrant palette of Sanyu’s paintings, harmoniously blending form, color, and flavor to craft an unforgettable experience. In this new era, with innovative approaches, we pay homage to Sanyu’s timeless genius, inviting you to immerse yourself in a breathtaking celebration of art and taste.
