本幅亦被称为《弘历鉴古图》。本幅描绘的室内诸多陈设,无不体现乾隆皇帝好古、摹古之趣味。这些器具陈 设或古朴凝重或精巧清雅,加之精心的陈列布置,传达出乾隆皇帝的文人风雅。屏风上绘有清『四王』风格的 山水作品,颇具元代画家倪瓒之风貌。此外在屏风上悬挂着人物写真立轴一幅,与画中的乾隆皇帝衣着服饰相 似,实为“画中画”的表现方式。这一表现方式前朝已有之,其代表作品有五代周文矩的《重屏会棋图》,元 代刘贯道的《消夏图》。本幅为清宫廷画家效仿宋画而作。画中『二我』一高一低,略取颜面相向之势,神情 如一。乾隆帝御笔题书:『是一是二,不即不离,儒可墨可,何虑何思。那罗延窟题并书。』欣欣然揭出『二 我』之主题。乾隆皇帝的这一雅兴,为清代院画注入了新鲜血液。全幅浅设色,格调淡雅,颇具古意,合文人 雅趣与帝王尊严为一图。上钤:『乾』朱文印、『隆』白文印。
The painting is also known as “HongLiJianGuTu”. The furnishings depicted in the picture gave an expression to the favourite on classics of Qianlong Emperor. In the painting there is a feature of Qianlong on the screen in the painting, we can call this manifestation mode as PIP (picture in picture). This techniques of expression had appeared in “Figures in Liulitang” which is made by Zhou Wenju in the Five Dynasties.
